I’m not entirely happy with this one. I thought it might be cool to have the two women looking off the left side of the picture plane and I tried to balance attention with the boat near the middle of the drawing and the guy on the other side of the picture plane looking slightly to the right of center. I’m thinking about rubbing the women out, and redoing them in a reversed position so that they are looking directly at the boat. Never the less that will be in the future. Opinions Yes or no change, are welcome.
Meanwhile, I’m moving on to the next drawing.

Hi John, Just blog hopping from Australia..
I love the glow you create in your crisp colours.
Just an idea...what about cutting the image, in two, just behind the boat wash.
I love the women on their own. Nice composition!
mr. klomp, i love the drawing. when i look at it, the girls appear to be looking " downstream" at the next boat. not to say it wouldn't look good with them looking at the boat (in picture). but to me it's great!
Thanks to both Matt, and shazartist for the comments. I did debate about turning those two women so that they would look at the boat in the painting, Matt. However, the more I thought about it the more I liked the implication that the painting continues beyond the picture plain, that there might just be an alternate reality. And that reality would be based on my intent to create a perfect world where there is no trash on the beach and no oil, tar, and plastic flotsam floating in the waves where it kills turtles and porpoises.
